Shannon's Story
Life
I currently live in London, England with my husband Alex, and our two children, Sophia an Maximilian. We moved over with my company, Citigroup in 2001. My husband is from Cologne, Germany, so we are closer to home for him. We miss the Portland life a lot, but have had amazing experiences and been lucky to travel extensively with London as our home base. We come home about 2x a year to visit. My daughter Sophia loves visiting my mom on her houseboat in Scappoose. London is a fabulous city to visit with some of the best theatre around. eality as it is also a fabuloulsy wealthy city, mixed in with diversity that would rival NYC. I don't know what the future will bring, but for the time being it is the place to be if you are in finance and my children will grow up speaking 2-3 languages and have an incredible respect for different cultures. Our children's friends come from all over the world; Tunisia, Russia, Mauritius, Pakistan, Germany, South Africa and of course Great Britain. I thought I might be the only Oregonian in London, until I met a Woman from Southern Oregon at my daughter's tennis lesson! I guess us Oregonian's are leaving our mark on London!
