Shannon's Story
About Me!
Confused...and a tad bit crazy! I've learned several lessons in my life and made several mistakes and I'll most likely make several more :::shrug::: but heck life would be real boring if I didn't. Can't take them back and hard to forget so I learn.... well I try to learn.
I amaze myself sometimes at the silly things I do and totally amaze myself at admitting them. I don't ever want to grow up. Life is just to short!! I live and share my life with the love of my life Gary Lee. We live laugh and love everyday which we are both totally grateful for. Never a dull moment that is for sure!! Life is good.....
We have 5 Children: Jason, Jaime, Elizabeth, Daniel & Courtnee. They have blessed us with 10 beautiful grandchildren. Two more will be added to the clan this year (2011).
I have and older brother James, who taught me when I was little how to shut up and fish or I would scare the fish away (I don't think I did the shut up part very well but he was patient with me and didn't make me worm my own hook, YUCK!!) He also taught me how to move by quickly when he was watching a ball game and I had to walk in front of the tv. (that I learned cause I couldn't fly for real like in my dreams).
I also have an older sister Lawanna who taught me how I should run or duck when I ticked her off (I know that didn't work :::OUCH:::) Lawanna got me in trouble alot, mean sister!! Just kidding Lawanna ha ha.... ::::whispering::: she really did tho. haha Heck what am I laughing about it was not funny back then. She had a powerful punch. You can't duck with a straight punch to the stomach!! That is where I should have learned to run I guess!! Shhhhhhh.....but a few times I got her back while she slept. I think she thought someone in her dream punched her. Must have since I was sleeping so sweet and innocently. haha Now that's funny!! I am sorry about chipping her front tooth tho but I told her to hurry when we were sneaking a drink from the bathroom faucet but no...she had to taunt me and take forever so I bopped her on her head. See mean sister teasing sweet lil' me!!! I think we had more fun an...Expand for more
d got along better when we were in trouble tho.
Fun being in seperate rooms and removing the window screens and playing catch back and forth...well, until the ball would drop and I had to be the one to crawl out the window and get it without being caught!! See...mean sister!! ha ha I can't remember why or what we ever did to get into trouble...well except maybe fight but we were all basically good kids....I think so anyway. Two, no there's 3 funny/scary times. 1. Thinking we were smart by getting a neighbor to call mom on the phone and sneaking Lawanna's bomb of a car around the block (years later we find out what dummys we were when mom pointed out the window she could see us pass by in the kitchen where the phone was.) 2. Was when the three of us ditched church (of course ::innocent look:: it was NOT my idea. I was the youngest, I had no choice. ha ha) anyway....James was driving Pop's wagon when all of a sudden we hit the biggest road dip real hard hitting our heads on the ceiling. All wide eye's James says "Now how was that for control!!" To say the least we never ditched church again as we just knew that was God's punishment!! 3. Was when James was trying to take off in the wagon and Lawanna would not get off the back and she fell. Another time James was chasing her and she had a hanger in her mouth for some reason and it caught in her throat. Hmmmm....that was not funny anymore, only the part of James trying to get her off the wagon. Damn Kids!! Damn Good Kids, that was us!!! ....so I think!! ha ha
I have one more angel of a brother....a true angel, Gods angel. Some day I'm gonna meet my brother David Paul.
Finally I have two of the most wonderful parents that I could ever ask for. "Art and Adella" They both worked very hard taking care of their family.
On January 20, 2008 I lost the most special precious woman in my life, My mother.
On April 10, 2009 I lost the first man I ever loved, My Dad. They both have their angel wings and are now holding their baby boy again, my angel brother David Paul. I learned alot from my parents but not how to live without them.
