Shannon's Story
Life
I was born in Sacramento, and raised in Fair Oaks. I went to school at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Music composition. I now live in San Diego, near my sister, Vanessa, and her husband (another Bella Vista alumnus), Ron Lemen. I write fiction and poetry, and I read it at open mics and feature as a writer all over Southern California. I have played saxophone and flute in many bands around town, including Society, which was an afrobeat/funk/soul group, and riboflavin'. I have attended the Maui Writers' Conference four years, and the San Diego Writers' Conference once, and I am looking forward to what life makes me next-- rockstar, author, whatever!! :)
