Shari's Story
Life
Hi all you Seneca Grads!! I am glad to have found so many of us in one location. I have often, over the years, thought back about some of the times and events we all shared.
I am happily married to a member of the INANG. I have a son and a step-daughter. Right now, I am praying everyday for Michael to come home safe. He's currently serving a year long tour in Iraq.
I look forward to hearing about your accomplishments!
College
I went to Spencerian College and graduated with a Medical Assistant Diploma in 1996. In 2002, I went back to Spencerian and received an Associates of Applied Science in Medical Clinical Specialties. I have taken and passed both Phlebotomy Certification, from American Socitey of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), and Certified Medical Assistant, from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). I am now back again so I can get my medical coding certification.
Workplace

get my medical coding degree. I am working part-time completing exams for insurance companies. And part-time in the lab at Clark Memorial Hospital. Everyday is a learning experience.
Military
I spent 8 years in the KyANG and 1 year in the KsANG doing what I loved most in school....MUSIC! We had a lot of great AT experiences. But, the best by far, was spending two weeks in Santigo, Chile.
I got back into the military in January 2005...I can't believe I missed music so much!! It's great to be back in the Guard doing something so rewarding.
Well, Chile was an awesome experience. But, this past summer, our AT took me on the trip of a life time. I spent 2 weeks at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. The best part of the trip were the fresh dole pineapples, the Luau, and most important, The USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It was captivating. And a piece of history I will never forget seeing in my life.
