Shari's Story
Well, I live in Iowa now. Yes, there are black people in Iowa. It's not too far from Chi Town. (2 1/2 hrs) I have 2 sons and the man in photo is a good friend.
I am an ultrasound technologist and manager for a vascular screening company called Life Line Screening. Go to llsa.com to check it out. I thank God to have been fortunate enough to save lives from the work I perform everyday.
August 30th 2008 was tough for me and my sister because our mother passed that day. Any one that remembers Mama Lee knows what a great loss it was for us. Lori and I still miss her deeply but we remember the good times which is enough to bring a smile maybe a laugh that warms the heart for another day. Although I must say that it is very hard to replace the love of a mother.

My hobby is writing poetry. I am in the process of getting a book together. Here is one of my poems:
When The Door Opens
When the door opens
A warm breeze blows gently across your face,
A sweet fragrance is in the air,
A light dew of moisture crosses your lips
And you swear it was a soft ever so lovely kiss.
You close your eyes taking everything in
For your senses are at a high.
That¿s when I step in
Brushing my body against yours,
I feel electrical currents run down my back
Just from the touch of your skin against mine.
Could this all be imagined?
Or is it real?
My heart is connected to yours and it has been before.
Like magic when you open the door,
To your love and let me in!
