Shari's Story
My classmates hardly saw me during my senior
year because I went to school half a day and
worked at a flower shop for half a day.
I think my classmates might be surprised at
my success in advertising and media sales.
Happily married for 20 years, and have a
son who is a freshman in college and a 31 year old daughter that is an artist.
1969 was a real strange year, with Viet Nam looming on young graduates to strive to do better as not
to be drafted. The Woodstock generation was my
movement to the 'other side' of the political
spectrum. As a protester of the war, and a women's lib candidate my friends from school would not
be surprised at all. Wanted a career as a singer, but
it wasn't in the cards.
The teacher I would love to see again is Al Deatt.
Nicest man in the world, and a good teacher.

't a good thing, but we did have a great
'sit in ' in the quandrangle, to force the administration to allow us to wear blue jeans to school.
My first crush is a VP of Marketing for Macy's New York.
My old friends remember me as a risk taker, a loud
talker, a rock singer, and a bit of a nut!!
I am truly happy, and I am with my husband of 20 years. Of course, I would be a lounge singer if I could still sing!@!!
My biggest surprise is that 25 years experience in an
industry doens't trump having a four year degree from a college 30 years ago.....
Go to College
Working in the Wig department at Lord and Taylor.
I have lived in Texas for 38 years. Houston, Kilgore, Nacadoches, San Antonio, and Austin. I moved from
Texas to NJ in 1961. Upon graduating, I left a few
years later and have resided in Texas ever since.
