Sharine's Story
Life
I attended Pacific High School in San Bernardino, graduating in 1960. Maiden name is Troxel. I've two brothers,my parents are deceased. Married to "Mike" in 1961 for 11 years. Three exceptionally wonderful children, now terrific adults. One grandchild - 3 yr old "Ryan". Everything they say about being a grandparent is true.
I worked in the L A Community College District for 32 years, prior to retiring last August 23rd. Mid-way, I earned a bachelor's and a master's degree, allowing me to obtain an administrative position. I look forward to (more) traveling, spending time with old/new friends and doing some volunteer work.

d my supervisors were helpful and supportive. I teamed with 5 really great folks ranging in age from 22 to 48 and we spent many hours together preparing and making presentations. The hardest professor was one who taught the Technology course. A very interesting professor ended up on the jury of the two brothers who killed their parents. It was a 2 yr trial and changed her life. She got divorced and took another year off before coming back to teaching. UOP held its graduations at the Anaheim Convention Center that year and my family came in from out of town and celebrated the entire week-end with me. Graduating was one of the most satisfying accomplishments of my life. Within 7 months of receiving my degree, I was appointed Acting Dean and 18 months later attained a permanent administrative position at a community college.
