Sharon's Story
Workplace
I left MHS in my senior year and graduated from Lafayette in Lexington, KY.
Returned to the U of I;
graduated in Med Technology in 72; then interned at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Worked one year in Lexington, then went to Baltimore where I worked at Johns Hopkins Blood Bank for a couple of years.

vel, so I stayed for more than 22 years.
Duty stations included: Norfolk, Pearl Harbor, USS Jason (Repair Ship), Alameda, CA, San Diego, and Washington, DC as well as having a contingency assignment on USNS Comfort (Hospital Ship) for more than 6 years.
Retired from active duty in the Navy 5 years ago. Until May, I worked part-time in private practice. Am now employed by the Navy as a civilian dentist.
My other important occupation is "mothering"--one husband, two kids, and a dog.
