Sharon's Story
At 16 all I wanted to do was be a wife and mother and maybe a nurse. Well, after a rough start I am that and more. Yes this is my 3rd marriage but it's been 37 years, 2 kids and 5 grandchildren, and many more that call me grandma, because I teach high-risk teens and work with gang kids. Their joy and success are my greatest accomplishments. But that fulfills the wife and mother part. I am a survivor of an unsurvivorable kind of brain cancer, now it's been 21 years. young man came across the highway and totalled my big pick-up,he died 3 weeks later, I have shoulder problems but I'm a survivor. I have worked in a hospital, and help people live their last days with cancer, so I fill the nurse position. I am learning as life goes on that my parents were right in most all they said. Now that my husband and I have lost all our family accept our kids and grandkids, life is precious, slow down, say I love you, smile to strangers, don't stress about tomorrow-enjoy today!
