Sharon's Story
Life
Since the last class reunion, I have become a full time licensed Real Estate Agent. I started out as a Residential Agent and have made the transition into a full time Commercial Real Estate Agent. I am a Retail Specialist and also work with 1031 Investors, and Multi-Family Housing Development.
I have also married, and will be celebrating my 6 year annisversary on June 26th! Who would have ever guessed I would actually end up marrying a Police Officer! I can tell you that was the furthest thing from my mind (both marriage and the Police Officer). I met him through a client I sold a condominium to. I inherited 3 wonderful step daughters and some great in-laws!
Much to my dismay, my daughter moved to California a little over a year ago and took my 3 grandchildren with her. Needless to say, I have traveled between Idaho and California on a regular basis.
My family is most important to me. Right now, life is really good, and the only way it could be better is if . I could stay home and take care of all my (5)grandchildren full time!!
I love my job, but there is nothing I find more satisfaction in than being around my grandchildren and family.
In my spare time (ha!) if I am not in California visiting my grandchildren, I tear apart my house and ...Expand for more
re-do and re-decorate. If I can't put it back together, my husband gets that pleasure!! So far I have remodeled my kitchen, living room, dining room and am working on my bathroom. This has been a work in progress for the past 5 years. Old houses are fun to work on but require alot of time and energy, so needless to say it has taken me quite awhile. I still have a long way to go!! Meanwhile, I am taking up a new hobby (at my husband's urging) of woodturning.
I am also active in the Realtor's Outreach Program that helps with the needs of others, The "World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame", and am a Youth Group leader at our Parish. I truly don't know where I find all the time to do all of this and keep my sanity! When my husband can talk me into slowing down a little, we usually enjoy going on week-end trips on his motorcyle(his idea of a good time), but I do it anyway because I love him!!
My mother died 2 years ago of leukemia, followed one year later by my dearest cousin who also died of leukemia (kind of freaky). Needless to say, it made me make some changes in my life and re-align my priorities.
I guess that is about all I can say. I have not heard anything about a 30 year class reunion!! But, I would like to go if we are going to have one.
