Sharon's Story
My family, especially my kids and their kids are the most important things to me. My kids decided after getting married that they all would make me wait awhile to make me a grandmother (8 years) then they all had them in a nine month time span. Starting with my youngest Mindy. This was hard for me because she was in California at the time. When Declan was six months old, his dad decided he didn't want to married anymore so they packed up and moved home with John and me. His loss our gain!
Glenn lives in Purcelville and he and his wife had a little girl, Annie. Now I have one of each. This is getting better!
Finally my oldest daughter Melissa, had a little boy, Logan. They live about 25 minutes away. So you see the moral of this story is...GREAT THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! I'm now in grandma heaven!

laugh those of you that knew me!!!! I would have NEVER thought it either, but I love it, most days anyway. Don't make a bundle, but you know, I get a lot of other rewards.
John Carmell and I got married in 1976(he went to Stonewall briefly).I'm a lucky lady!:) We have lived here in Fredericksburg for 28 years. He was a Firefighter then but has since switched over to the Fairfax County Police Department. As of yesterday January 31, he is "Retired" but can work if he wants for three more years. It's called the "Jump Program". He has worked for Fairfax County, starting his 37th year.

PS - I don't really drink coffee but love to hang out with friends at Starbucks that do, and drink Green Tea Frappachinos.
