Sharon's Story
Moved to Ogden, Utah in the middle of my Jr. year and played catch-up with the school system here to graduate (had to take a couple of Soph. classes in my Sr. year to graduate). Graduated from Weber State College in Data Processing and worked in that career field until I retired in 1995. My husband, Gary, retired the same year and we have been enjoying the retired life. We just got our only child graduated from Weber State and pretty much out on her own. There is light at the end of the tunnel! We live out in the country surrounded by horses (none of our own--we just like to look), lots of mallards, etc. Will move when we get too old to deal with all the yard in the summer and snow in the winter.
The last of my relatives moved from Benicia several years ago. I did take Gary to see the old stompin' grounds several times, but now probably won't go back. Since Gary is from the Washington D.C. area, we do get back to the other coast and both love to travel. Route 66 is on the agenda in the future.
