Sharon's Story
I live in Texas with my husband Bryan, our two kids, Joshua and Ashley and our dog Molly. Josh is 15 and Ashley is 13. I served 9 1/2 years in the Army, which is where I met my husband. We now live in Georgetown, Texas.
Life has been pretty interesting the last 20 some odd years. I joined the Army in July 1990. By December that same year, I was in Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm. I spent four months in the desert with the 1st Cavalry Division. 1st Cav is based out of Fort Hood, Texas. This is where I met my husband. We met at the barracks in October or November of 1991. We got married in January of 1993 and had Josh in April 1993. I had my son on my husband's birthday. I wish I could say I planned this, but I didn't. I thought it was cool though. Anyway, we had Ashley in January 1995. THEN we got divorced in 1997. In 1998, I was stationed in Egypt for a year. THAT was exciting. I got to visit the Sphinx and the three pyramids of Giza. I got to see the Suez Canal. I've been in the Red Sea and t...Expand for more
he Mediterranean (did I spell that right?) Sea. I climbed Mount Sinai. I should have trained for that, my legs were KILLING me when I was through. I also got to visit Isreal. I got to walk the Stations of the Cross, see the spot where Jesus was bathed. I got to visit the Dead Sea and Masada. It was a wonderful experience. Except I didn't get to see my kids for 8 months straight. I got back to Texas in May 1999 and received an honorable discharge in December 1999. Now flash forward to 2002. My husband and I got back together in September/August 2002. We got remarried in August 2003 and we've been together ever since. Yes, I married the same man twice. We think it's better the second time around. So I went from that to working at Walgreens. I gotta say, working in retail sucks. But it's a job and is pays the bills. OK, I think I've rambled on enough. If you read this, and you actually remember me though, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. I probably remember more of you. Peace out for now.
