Sharon's Story

Life Although I did not grow up in Scotia, I was fortunate to spend my last 3 yrs of High School there after my family relocated from Utica in 1984. After high school, I moved to Massachusetts, (where my mother is from) to go to Worcester State College, where I got a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a certificate in Gerontology. I have been married to Will Yager (from our High School class) since 1993 and we have two boys, Liam (1/26/94)and Riley (8/7/96). We also traveled to Russia in 2004 and adopted a sister for them. Olya Rose was born 8/16/97 and was adopted 12/6/04. We live in C...Expand for more
harlton, a suburb west of Worcester. I have worked for the Town of Shrewsbury since 1995 running the town's Senior Center for the elderly. After working as a regional Manager for 10 years with the Forward Financial Company in Westboro, Will is a Recreational Finance Specialist with Bank of America. Currently, his territory is all of New York, CT and RI, so he is always on the road. We go back to Scotia once a month to visit his folks (mine have since moved out here) and would love to see anyone when we are in town! I don't get back to Utica often, but try to keep in touch with friends there.
