Sharon's Story
(April 2014) - Greetings again - so, some of us Canacians got together recently, at a venue in the Junction.... (just can't pass on a good times opportunity) ... and I am uploading another picture - see if you 1973 graduates can identify us!!!!
(Summer 2013) - Greetings Canacians !!!!! Well, last year's reunion was really a blast! I was browsing through some of my photos today, and decided to post some of them here. Great memories!!! I had a really awesome time - big thanks to all the organizers, and especially to all of you who came from so far away. Of course we should have reunions more often - but I don't know if I can wait another 25 years!!!!
I do enjoy reading other people's stories here, and so, for those of you who are vaguely interested in reading mine, here it is - the career parts anyway:
I always loved music - in high school, (besides the Musicals) I played with a folk ensemble (the band was called Spring Water), and after high school, with a rock band in High Park. That led to the formation of a punkish-rock ...Expand for more
band in the late 70's that I loved playing with. We had great energy and potential, and we actually made some recordings and a (little) bit of cash. (I loved that band.)
In university, (in the early 90's), I formed a classical/easy listening trio with some other students called "the Champagne Trio". We started off by playing for special events, and pretty soon we were playing at the Olde Mill, the Royal York and the Harbour Castle Hotels in Toronto, (I've included our promo shot from 1992 with my pics here). Those were good times too, but not as much fun as the earlier bands. After that, I became a music teacher. I love my job, and enjoy riding my bicycle to school when time and the weather permit it.
One of these days, (maybe when I retire?) I'd like to do some more playing, learn how to sail, maybe take some art lessons, maybe visit South America.
Enjoy the photos, and please keep in touch!
