Sharon's Story
Hi, everyone. It has been a while! I have been living in the Seattle area for the last 35 years with my husband, Phillip. After completing an undergraduate degree in chemistry at University of Washington, I pursued a career in medicine then went on to specialize in psychiatry. In the midst of all that, we had two children.
At present, I work two parttime jobs. One is as a consulting psychiatrist for an organization that runs several primary care clinics throughout Seattle for uninsured or poorly insured people. Our daughter works for Congressman Jay Inslee in Washington DC but we probably will successfully get her back on the West Coast next year. My son is finishing graduate school in economics in Canada. They are my greatest source of joy.
For fun, I like to sew (have done much quilting in the past, now into other kinds of needlework and braiding), read, and play piano. Really not that much different from way back when. Classmates wants me to answer this question: What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? The answer is: I'm not as quiet.
