Sharon's Story

I live in Yorba Linda CA (Orange Co-- in a house we built in 1975) with my husband of 40+ years. We have 2 kids (girl and boy) and 4 grandkids. My daughter lives in Murrieta and has a BS in nursing working at a hospital in Riverside. My son lives in Placentia and has a plumbing contracting business. I am retired from a city job in Public Works. Our family owned a plumbing contractor business since 1979 building schools and colleges (or trying to in this economic climate!). My husband has since retired and closed the business. I...Expand for more
enjoy oil painting (mostly desert scenes) and landscape gardening. My patio is also filled with my love of container gardening. My husband and I enjoy traveling all over the U.S. UPDATE: I HAVE RECENTLY MOVED TO HAVASU WITH MY HUSBAND. Love the desert! Using my creative skills to landscape the yard. Our life is like a 24-7 vacation with all the activities available on the lake. Don't mind the heat--we're lizards! Lots of sunscreen. Looking forward to lots of travel around the U.S. now that we are in full-swing retirement.

Enlarge the pic for the full affect. Couldn't belief it when we were traveling in downtown Las Cruses near courthouse. 😂😂😉
Hatch NM chile capital of the world! Numerous vendors selling beautiful ristras and roasted-to-order green chiles. The smell of roasting chiles fills the air!
