Sharon's Story
Hi everyone! Been awhile since I was on here. Decided to try it out for a few months. Last time was in 2016. So since then I have retired, not by choice in 2017, but my job was eliminated due to computer expansion and outsourcing. So my daughter asked if I wanted to come to NC to be near them and my grand daughter who was 3 at the time so I did. My son was in CA living and has no kids yet. Tough decision bc of my twin sister and close friends and family, but wanted to be near my grand daughter. I was in NC for 2 years and had built a tiny home on their property. But then my son in law was offered a job in WA state and while deciding if I would try it out with them, both of our homes were destroyed in Hurricane Florence, so a permanent decision was made for us by mother nature. Classmates will not let me post certain things with web site info, email and address and phone numbers. But our class has a FB group page York Vo-tech 1975 if you want to join. and also another class started a FB group page York Vo-tech Alumni Group if you want to search that out also. We had to cancel our 45th class reunion last year due to Covid.
Due to advancement in social media and way too many invalid addresses and the cost for paper invites; they will not be going out anymore in the regular mail Please share with anyone who you may keep in contact with since school or use any of this info as a way to reach out and reconnect with anyone from school.
