Life
Don and I have two children and four grandchildren. We are presently living in New Braunfels, Texas. I taught ESL (English Second Language( to Adults. I taught two classes of beginner ESL and two classes of Intermediate ESL students This has been my passion for many years and the thrill of actually being able to teach adults how to read and write is absolutely indescribable.
I have achieved a goal that was once thought impossible for me and that is graduation from College. Having had a high school counselor who thought I was not "college material" was a real downer for me upon graduating from high school as I truly wanted to attend college. With the constant encouragement of my wonderful husband, I finally achieved that goal in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with Reading as my specialty.

emo in June. I have no hair but it is certainly cooler with this hot weather.
My precious husband, Don, is medically disabled. We are enjoying being in New Braunfels and having an empty nest. I am retired and Don's full-time caregiver. We are close to family and that is extremely important to both of us.
2009 has been somewhat of a challenge for Don and I, however, we are looking to begin again in 2010. Having had a wonderful time with family during the Christmas Holidays, we are ready to see what lies in store for us within the next few months.
I always wanted to be a teacher or nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great to look to the future idea. As it turns out, they were right. I loved teaching.
What I do when I get really steamed - Put a name on a cardboard box and destroy it. However, lately I look at the problem, decide if it is worth the battle or now. Life is too short and too precious to get too steamed.
