Sharon's Story
Hi Everyone from the Class of 68
After graduation from LHS, I attended & graduated from St. Cloud State College. I was very active in college as a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, officer of my dorm and with band activities (I played the French Horn). After college I worked for a couple of years in Mpls before moving to Manhanttan, New York. I worked for a buying office and then the College Board (they put out the infamous SAT test we had to take to get into college and I had to take part of it to get my job) After living in NYC for 5 years, I moved with a male friend to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1979. I contemplated leaving SLC when our relationship ended but it is so beautiful here I decided to stay. Finally, at age 35 I met the guy I wanted to spend my life with and we have been married now for 24 years. I have step-children but none of my own (and 10 grandchildren). I am very active in my community as a volunteer. I was an Accreditation Manager for the 2002 Olympics. I am involved with the Miss Am...Expand for more
erica Program as Field Director over 7 community pageants & Judges Chairman for my city's (Miss Sandy) pageant. I was also in charge of Sandy City's 4th of July parade for several years. I'm Vice President of Northern Utah Alumnae Panhellenic which includes alumnae sorority sisters from National Sororities all over the country and a member of Beta Sigma Phi (not affiliated with college). I love to travel the USA and plan my trips to include areas that have wineries. My favorite place to visit in Utah is Bryce Canyon, one of Utah's many National Parks. It is absolutely breathtaking. I never dreamed I would live in Utah this long, but I love it here. If you love the outdoors, it is the place to be. Living in a Valley with views of mountains all around you is fabulous. I've been on several river running trips on the Colorado River in Moab, Utah and that is so much fun.
Well, I guess I've rambled enough -- If you get a chance to come to Utah, give me a call. Would love to hear from you.
