Life
Sharon Meekins (AKA) Jamieson Cox,
What a lady! If you have had the opportunity to know me then, you know that I am a great person. I have very high standards and I do my best to meet them everyday of my life. I love the Lord, and I love my husband and family. I am not perfect, I think that is boring. Besides, I believe you have to mix things up a little, that way you always keep them guessing. I never worry about what others think of me because, I tend to be objective even with myself. I know who I am, and what I want, I have for a very long time. I share my life with a wonderful and patient man, and togehter we have four wonderful, bright young adults. Together we anxiously await until these last two years pass to tackle the empty nest syndrome. I have enjoyed motherhood, and when I look at my children I feel proud. I have worked in the nursing field for over 20 yrs., and someday I hope to own and operate a nursing agency. I am approaching the big 50, but that dosen't worry me, I ...Expand for more
just hope my children will marry one day soon and give me grandchildren before the short term memory sets in. I am happy, very happy, and it has taken some time to get here but, it sure feels good when you know you can look back and smile and say, wow, what a journey, thank God, life is good.
Workplace
Nursing has been apart of me ever since I starting practicing on my baby sister at the age of 7yrs. old. It gives me the opportunity to help others in the most stressful and life changing times of their lives. It has and continues to be rewarding to actually witness an individual life that comes to you broken, and afraid, and to know that you play a significant role in helping to promote healing to that same individual, words are often not enough to describe the feelings of emotion, and gratification. I feel blessed and elated at the same time. Eighteen years has gone by fast, since graduating into the nursing profession, it has not always been easy but, I can't imagine doing anything else.
