Sharon's Story

Life I retired in 2004 after approx. 38 yrs. of Federal Gov't. service in Washington, DC. There would have been more years, except I resigned for a short while to do some other things--return to college, travel agent, work on Capitol Hill for a short while, lived in New York City for a year working for United Airlines as a flight attendant--returned home and to Federal service in 1980. I was finally reunited with and married "the boy next door" from my childhood. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. She's married; and has given us 2 beautiful grandchildren. estivals, and just hanging out, having peaceful evenings at home . Although I was suddenly strickened with a brain aneuysm in 2005, I was truly and absolutely blessed not to have any lasting after effects from it and was in fact still able to go on with a planned 2-week stay in Paris, France with my husband...only about a month after returning home from the hospital!! Life hasn't always been so sweet; and as I am sure many of you have, I've lost family members and friends, but if God wills it, there will be more life to enjoy...so watch this space.
