Sharon's Story
Life
I've lost almost 90 pounds in less than two years so none of the pictures of me are real recent but I guess they're recent compared to the last time I saw anybody from California so...
I have been married over 25 years and have 3 sons. I am known to all of the young people as 'Mom' so I feel like I have countless children instead of just 3. I have 7 grandchildren with #8 & #9 on the way. But like my kids I also am 'Nana' to all of their kids. My husband and are blessed with lots of kids and grandkids to keep us busy and drive us totally insane! I live in Nebraska but will always be a California Girl at heart...Expand for more
. My husband works for the railroad and I work at a gas station/Greyhound station. My job is never boring. Which is good because I hate boring! We have two dogs... A lab/German Shorthair mix named Clark Gable & a Dachshund named Josephine Baker. They are my 'kids' now that the boys are grown.
Military
I was in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1984 as a Boatswain Mate. I spent 14 years as a Navy Wife and now I have a son in the Navy and one in the Nebraska Army National Guard. My son in the Navy has been around the world twice, including Bahrain and Afghanistan. My son in the Army just returned from 22 months in Baghdad.
