Sharon's Story
Life
I married Ray Baker from the Class of 1971 in January of 1973. We celebrated our 35th anniversary this past January--my mother would say that was a miracle!
We have a 28-year-old married daughter, Amy. As of Sept. 9, 2006, we now have a beautiful granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth. Amy is married to Josh Thacker; they both graduated in 1998 from TC. They recently moved back to Tiffin after living and working in Columbus for seven years. We are thrilled to have them back home so that we can watch Sarah grow up.
I retired from Tiffin City Schools on January 1, 2004, after 30 years. I decided after five weeks of retirement, I needed to have a reason to get up and get dressed every day! I was lucky enough to find my dream job--I am currently a full-time account clerk at Kalmbach Feeds in Upper Sandusky; no responsibilities--I just show up for work and do what I am told! fter being in charge of records, grades, etc. at TC for so long!! I certainly don't miss all the headaches and pressures of deadlines at TC. I have decided that the only thing I do miss about that job is the five-week summer vacation that I no longer get!!!
I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up, but I guess that means I haven't really grown up yet!!
We have, or should I say SHE has us, a Siamese-mix cat who is a wild woman! We call her our attack cat, because that is exactly what she does every time you walk past her! But we would miss her greatly if we didn't have her. She is very entertaining! We have many great friends that we always have lots of fun with--any excuse works to get together--it really doesn't take much of an excuse!!!
