Sharon's Story
After high school I moved to Houston but missed my mommy too much and came back home. Then in 1983 I moved to Arlington, Texas where I worked for eight years when the company went out of business and I came home again. I also had a son while I lived in Arlington. In 1991 I started working at Formosa and I'm still there today.
I got married for the first time in 2007! He's the best! His name is Eddie Tyler and he grew up in Fort Worth and moved here in the 80's...Expand for more
. We've been friends for 15 years, ...then we decided to be more than friends.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, had surgery to remove it, I walk a little lopsided these days, lol, but I'm alive and my hair is now about an inch long after losing it to the chemo. And it's curly! I'll be celebrating ONE YEAR SURVIVAL on June 26th.
My son is 21 now, he lives in San Antonio and I'm very proud of him! He hasn't had it very easy and he has come a long way!
