Sharon's Story
After graduating from Kalani HS, I worked for a year at Radford HS and before long got bored. I enlisted in the Air Force in 1963, went to basic training for 8 weeks. Then I went to McGuire AFB NJ (directed-duty assignment) and worked in Accounting & Finance until April 1966.
From McGuire, I went to Lackland AFB for instructor duty for 2 yrs; Travis AFB CA for 11 months; Shu Lin Kou AS Taiwan for 16 months; Iraklion AS Crete, Greece for 2 yrs; Bergstrom A...Expand for more
FB TX for 11+ yrs; Incirlik AB Turkey for 2 yrs; RAF Mildenhall UK for 4 yrs; and finally Randolph AFB TX for 18 months when I retired with over 27 1/2 yrs active duty. During all this time, 10 1/2 yrs were spent as an AF instructor and the rest of the time in Accounting & Finance.
After retiring I worked at two "civilian" jobs as an accounting manager finally retiring April 2008.
Married to Reggie in 1972, we have two daughters and live in San Antonio TX.
