Sharon's Story

Life 10/2003 smcraig(at)mind spring(dot) com I retired my eagles feet in 1979. My primary goals in life were to travel and learn job skills. I have done both. I have seen - Hawaii, Midway Island, England, Scotland, Spain, Amsterdam, Germany, Wales, Ireland, Virgin Islands, Croatia, Israel, Greece, Italy, Jeli Ali, Bahrain ...I know there's more. I just can't get enough adventure in my life. I love different cultures and to explore new experiences. Bring 'em on !! I retired from the Navy in 2000. I was a Data Processing Technician, modernly called an Information Specialist. My military experiences have mostly been positive. I was really fortunate to have only one year sea time on a ship and the rest overseas or stateside. I have four energetic and fantastic girls. All wonderfully different from each other. Kat is in her last year of college. She is studying to be a Mortican. (Yikkkees, right?)...Expand for more
Britt is in her 1st yr of college. She wants to go into the FBI. Steph a HS Junior, plays the trumphet in Marching Band and wants to be a music teacher. Brandy a HS sophomore, works at a publishing company and anxiously counts the days to get her driving permit. Her childhood dream is to be a "cooker". We are a lively family of pranksters ....always pulling jokes on each other or on the only male in the group, dad. My life is definitely my family. I have done many years of volunteer work. From a Girl Scout Leader, tutoring young children, to responding to Sexual Assault Victims on military bases. I teach my girls to have gracious hearts to the less fortunate. We all have volunteer at soup kitchens, union missions, animal shelters and various GS volunteer outings. Presently, I work as a Publication Manager in Virginia Beach. I plan to work until my husband, Rick, retires from the Navy in 2008. Take care and enjoy life !! Sharon
