Sharon's Story

I am Sharon Lewis, maiden name Phillips, who graduated in 1978. 11 mos out of school I married my high school sweetheart Mike Lewis. The marriage lasted 6 yrs. We had no children, and I introduced him to his current wife, Teresa, and they have a son William who's around 12 I think. He lives in Eaton, Ohio. I am living in Kettering with my fiance Mike, and we have been together for 3 and 1/2 yrs. At Colonel White, now moved and renamed "Thurgood Marshall", I played clarinet in the Intern Band under Mr. Larry Potts for all 4 years, as well as English and Home Ec. Mike Lewis and I were both in the DECA classes for our junior and senior yrs. I went to the Junior/Senior prom with Ty Grable, then Mike Lewis in my Senior y...Expand for more
ear. Presently, I am a CNA, certified nursing assistant, and I went to Kaplan College last year and have my certificate to be a Pharmacy Technician. I am currently unemployed due to osteoarthritis in both my knees. There is no cartilage in the knees and it is bone-on-bone, and it is painful to walk but I manage. I hope to have the first of two knee replacement surgeries in Aug. Mike Lewis and I were involved in car collision with a p/up truck when we were in our early 20's, and my knees hit the dash board/ glove box area and indented it. At the time, I didn't feel hurt and so I went on my merry way. I was told recently that I should of had my knees scoped after the accident. The saying is true, "hindsight is 20/20".
