Sharon's Story
John and I lived and worked and raised our two kids in the KC area until 1997 when he was offered a job in Denver. John had worked in telecommunications since he left college (Kansas State) in 1974. So he accepted a job with Qwest in 1997 and moved to Denver. I stayed in Overland Park until our son graduated from high school - another 20 months. Then, in 1999, I moved to Denver also. ely loved it. We still do. I continued to work for a while in human resources management then stopped working full time in 2001. In 1999 John left Qwest to work for Level 3 Communications where he works today.
Our only regret is that our children stayed in the KC area after college instead of following us to Denver. Now we have a granddaughter and two children who live 650 miles away.
I wouldn't do a thing differently.
