Sharon's Story
I have a son who I raised as a single parent. He is getting maried this October. Other than work all the time to support us I haven't really done anything noteworthy. I did attend college part time until it got too difficult to be a Mom and a student at the same time and Motherhood had to take precedence. No Academy Awards or scientific achievements, just a regular gal with middle class ideals. I have worked in the automotive industry for the past 20 years and would love to start a new career but haven't quite got around to figu...Expand for more

UPDATE:
Fell prey to the "fallout" and have since become one of the millions of unemployeed automotive workers. However, as luck would have it was able to land a job at Greektown Casino as a Cage Supervisor so all in all things worked out OK. Learning a new career has been tiring but also exciting. Son's wedding was wonderful and he and his bride are happily living in Ferndale. Wouldn't be surprised to find out I am going to be a Grandma one day soon. Sure don't feel old enough for that but time marches on.
