Sharon's Story
Life
I'm a long time employee for the US Navy, currently living and working in downtown London, close to the US Embassy. I have one daughter, Rachel, who lives with me and is studying interior design/art history. This is our first experience living in an urban environment and we love it!
I've traveled a great deal both for business and pleasure. I've visited every state on both coasts, as well as Hawaii and Alaska. Haven't spent much time in the center of the country, except for Texas and Louisiana. I've also spent time in Guam and Japan, and while I'm enjoyed it, would not hurry back to either place. Since I arrived in England last summer I've been to Germany, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Sicily and Ireland and soon to Venice and Florence.
My flat is a block off Baker Street, close to Sherlock's fictional home and across the street from Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and the Planetarium. After years in the suburbs, there's something exhilarating about rolling out of bed on a Sunday morning and walking down to Starbucks to get a cappuccino and the Sunday papers. As fpr commuting, my 20 minute walk to work is beyond words. Very happy, having a wonderful time and highly recommend spending some time in Europe.
