Life
Writing a biography of the last 35+ years seems quite the challenge! I did stay in the New Orleans area for most of it - the last ten years in Metairie. I currently live in Mississippi and lived in Maryland and Florida very briefly following my divorce from Alan Broxson(class of 69). We were just too young to make it work. I have been married two more times - and divorced two more times. It seems to be a common thread with nurses, which is what I finally settled into being. I have 5 terrific kids and still have 4 living with me - 2 college students, and a set of twins who are in high school. I have done so many different careers du...Expand for more
ring that time period including working 4 jobs just to survive. But, I wouldn't trade any of it! Currently, I am the Chief Nursing Officer at a 203 bed hospital in Northern Mississippi. I do miss home, but, also would like to explore other areas of the country. The great thing about nursing is that it is easy to do. Work a year or two one place and then move on. I had lost my Dad when I was 9 and my Mom when I was 35, so except for my sister who is 70+ and a neice, I do not have much family to hold me to New Orleans. There truly is no city in the world like it though. I wish the best for all of you! Sharon
