Sharon's Story
Hello there,
I recognize most names on our list. Makes me reminise about those highschool days. I had to have kids walk me around campus as I couldn't walk alone. I sure appreciate all those kids who walked me to classes. Do some of you remember getting out of class early to take me to a class or to the bus? My parents wouldn't let me have a wheelchair then. I remember graduation night and getting a standing ovation because I couldn't walk and yet I graduated. I didn't get very good grades because I wanted to play instead. In my heart, that standing ovation was for all of you, who helped to walk me everywhere.
Today I have an electric wheelchair and have a great husband, Weston Ross(class of 58), two children, 10 grandchilden and 7 great grandchildren. Wes and I are retired school teachers from the Ute Indian reservaton in North eastern Utah, now living in Brigham Cit...Expand for more
y, Utah. We are healthy, happy and constantly, actively doing things together , in our church and in our dailey lives. Life is good here.
We do gunstock carving, sandblasting gifts on crystal, carving gourds and eggs, and painting pictures.
We used to enjoy traveling until the GAS got out of control, now we drive as little as possible or save up for the trip.
I have a little service dog named Betty Boop. She's a 10 yr. old Jack Russel terrier. Sure wish she wouldn't get any older, I wish she would live as long as I do.
We would love to hear from you and learn about your lives too. Life hasn't been easy for any of us, but, I call life "Dancing in the rain". It always brings a new day, a fresh start, leaving yesterday behind.
Again, thanks to all of you who helped me to get through my highschool years. It was a fun ride with great memories.
