Sharon's Story
Married to Al Herrera. Retired from Social Services after 33 years in the same agency. I now do consulting and contract work. I'm currently working with the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services, planning for Care & Shelter during local disasters and I'm the Project Coordinator for a computer software development company that specializes in systems for social services programs. n the Sacramento area. I'm involved in school and extra-curricular activities with our youngest grandchild. The older 2 are in college now. I have been the caretaker for my father the past 11 1/2 years, since we lost my mom. He is 94 years old and resides in assisted living since last November. We enjoy family, friends, music, camping and boating. My husband adds hunting and fishing to those activities. I love to read. I stay super busy with all the activities I'm involved in and wonder how I ever had time to work full-time all those years.
