Life
For a shy kid from Bangtown, I've had my share of adventures. I flunked out as a teacher (my goal during high school), floundered around for a few years and accidentally fell into a career as a direct marketing/advertising copywriter. ckwards. Started raising 6-year-old Melissa in 1990. She now has two children, Moses and Malaya, who are the apples of my eye. I got married (believe it or not!) in 2000 to Bob Baker, who was a hotel manager in Pasadena when I met him. Now he's a chaplain at Motion Picture Television Fund. I'm currently semi-retired and work part-time at a JCPenney store. (For anyone who knows my sisters, Bess now lives in Portage and Janet in Litchfield, both with busy lives, families, etc.) Oh, and I'd still like to be a rich-and-famous writer when I grow up.
