Sharon's Story
Life
After Dulaney, I headed south to Auburn University and obtained a degree in architecture. I returned home briefly after college and lived downtown. I married Al York, a classmate (tall, dark, handsome) from Auburn in 1991, we moved to Texas for a job offer of his in 1992 and for the last 12 years have lived in Austin, which rocks. I'm working at the Texas Historical Commission to restore historic county courthouses (there are 254 counties!),which involves roaming around the state, investigating run-down but really amazing public b...Expand for more
uildings, hanging with contractors and telling people what they have to do to please me. I love my job. I'm also completely in love and loved by My Three Sons, Dylan 7, Anthony 5 and Ryan 3 who are fantastic and make my house just like the one I grew up in, e.g. wild, crazy and male. My mom lives a block away from us but dad passed away suddenly in 2004. Still miss him alot and so many things about the old days, friends and family in Balt...but life is good and I still plan to "be (freely?)all I can be". Best wishes to you old friend.
