Sharon's Story

Life After high school, I went to The University of Texas at Dallas on full scholarship and received my B.S. in chemistry in 1999. I also received by M.S. in chemistry from UTD in 2001. I then went to UNT and received a M.Sc. in chemistry and am now working on my doctorate in chemistry. I work as a science facilitator for the school district and a part-time college professor in the area. My husband Kayes Ali and I have been married for 10 years now and have 1 son, James that is almost 2. School Ali and I started dating when I was a junior and married him when I was a sophomore in college. Ali is the love of my life. I can't believe we've been married for 9 years. h and I just can't imagine a day without him in my life. College I received my B.S. in chemistry at UT Dallas as well as my master's degree. My professors were amazing, and I'm so glad I attended such a prestigious school as our dept. now has a nobel prize winner in chemistry. I'm now working on my PhD. in chemistry at UNT and will graduate in Fall 2006 (I'm having to take a semester off for the birth of our son). UNT is great also and very flexible with my work schedule. Workplace I love my job. I currently am in education administration for a suburban school district and teach college classes at night. I can't imagine doing anything else. Teenagers and college kids are great!
