Sharon's Story
Life
I attended Judson College for Women in Marion, Alabama. Judson is a Baptist College--with a beautiful campus and Old South in its traditions. I have many wonderful memories while attending Judson. I then moved to Pensacola and graduated from the Dental Program. After graduating, I met Gary, my future husband. He was in Naval flight training. We had a very fast romance. We met in January, engaged in March, and married in August. We had a Military Wedding and lived in Pensacola for a short time before moving to Key west.
We moved to Key West for more flight training and then we moved to Guam. I worked for a Pedodontist and Gary was on the U.S.S. Midway and the U.S.S. Enterprise on flight status. We moved to Japan---- and lived there for three years. I taught English six days a week, traveling to Tokyo and Yokohama. I taught...Expand for more
lawyers, students of all ages, bank employees, and I taught in private homes and several schools. Gary was on the staff at CTF-72. We moved to Washington State and I attended Olympic College. I studied Japanese for three years. Gary was on the U.S.S. Nimitz. He was the Tactical Action Officer and the Electronic Warfare Officer. We moved to Oregon and he was in charge of a base that is with Whidbey Island, Washington. After living in so many different places--it is so great to be back in Florida! I do miss the Navy life!!!
We have a very cute five year old Shih Tzu, named Jordy. He keeps us very busy and very entertained. We are avid golfers. I am not great at playing-----but I do have a good time. I have been told that I talk too much!!!
