Life
Hello everyone,
Breifly, here goes:
After HS graduation, I began attending IU's Indianapolis extension majoring in English/Journalism with a minor in Psychology. I took a job with Delta Air Lines in the Indy Reservations office in August 1966. Due to rotating schedules and days off, I had to delay further courses.
I married Richard Tandy, childhood sweetheart, in June of 1968. We were blessed with Shannon Leigh Tandy in April of 1970. Later, blessed with Stephany Leigh Tandy born in February of 1978, and blessed with Stacia Leigh Tandy in December of 1980.
The marriage ended in December of 1983.
I transferred to Dallas, TX,with Delta, just before the divorce was final. The girls and I moved into a darling home just north of the city.
Lots happened.
I never remarried. I decided to do the best I possibly could to encourage and bring the girls into adulthood with wise counsel and absolute, unconditional love.
Shannon graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Geography and Tourism. She married Mark Frank from Ft. Wayne, whom she met at Ball State. They blessed us with two wonderful grandchildren, Laruen Ashley Frank who is now thirteen, and Trevor William Frank who is eight. Mark is with Dow Chemical, and Shannon works out of thier home as the National Sales Director for the Hyatt Hotel chain.
Stephany graduated with a degree in Science from Purdue, and went on to get a Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling. She now works for Kaiser Peremente in Riverside, CA, and has her own office and private secretary. She's not married.

ree in Psychology and Primatology, and is now in Atlanta, GA, attending Georgia State for her Master's Degree in Psycology. Between Ball State and Georgia State, she lovingly devoted a year to work with children suffering from severe Autism, teaching sign language, motor skills, and social skills. At this time she hopes to focus on helping more children and families suffering from this dreadful disease. She's not married, but may be close to an engagement.
The girls are all beautiful and happy. I will add pictures of them later.
Me? Well, I've had quite a journey along with the girls.
I continued with Delta Air Lines for 18 years. Owned a Decorating Den franchise for a couple of years. Went back into travel and managed a travel agency, Premium Travel, until all of the 23 nation wide offices closed during the Gulf War. Then I worked for Continental Airlines for nine years, at the ticket counters in Houston TX and Indianapolis. Most recently, I worked for Eli Lilly Travel Services, as an in house travel consultant for their corporate travel needs.
In September of 2003 I found I had stage four colon cancer. After that surgery I began chemo therapy. In April of 2004, we found I also had uteran cancer, followed by a complete hysterectomy. I went back to chemo therapy for a total of eleven months, not given a very good prognosis. But I'm a fighter. I still refuse to accept a bad report. AND I'm still HERE!
I have found a wonderful love in my Lord, Jesus Christ, and know God does have a special plan for my life. That's what I choose - LIFE :)
