Sharon's Story
Life
I am currently residing in Palm Coast Florida after having spent over 10 years living in Western Canada..... No, was not hiding, really living there...remember always ask where the guy you meet is from before it is too late. We have two teenagers.....if my hair wasn't grey before....it is now. I still love the beach and the sun (much more than the snow and -30 degrees). Titusville will still always be home, and I love taking my daughter through there and showing them the things and places I loved growing up. We have discovered Titusville, doesn't change....for some reason....it looks the same today as it did....how many years ago....jeez....
Workplace
I have been working for Hawaiian Tropic in Ormond Beach for five years.....I absolutely love my job...I work in the Executive Office but at this point am also invited to work the Hawaiian Tropic beauty pageants, which are amazing.. Who could figure that all of those beautiful girls can get together and perform the things that they do in under a week....
This past September, I attended our US Pageant in Oahu, Hawaii on the North Shore and was able to take my 15 year old daughter. We had the best time, we were there for two weeks, she got to surf and horseback ride.... I got to work....but it was very, very cool and one of the moments I hope she will remember for years to come.
All in all......Expand for more
.very good job...
Well, that was an old story..... since writing that which must have been about six years ago....I divorced after twenty years together. He has moved back to Canada, I think he may be hiding....the "kids" are still in Palm Coast with me...I lost my job, Hawaiian Tropic was bought out over a year ago. I still do bookkeeping for the "ex" owner of Hawaiian Tropic. I did make it to Hawaii a total of six times, and to Las Vegas three with the pageants. I completely understand why Vegas is a weekend trip, two solid weeks wandering through smoke filled windowless casino's would drive a sane person crazy, the bing bing of machines haunts your dreams for months....
At this later stage of life....I am ready to make some changes. I keep pondering what, but as the days speed by I know it needs to be something. When we are in high school we have what seems to be so much time to make decisions....put off today what we can think about tomorrow... then the next thing you know you wake up and thirty years have gone by and time is of the essence. I never take a day for granted any longer. My mother had passed away twenty six years ago, on her birthday, she had turned 55 that day. That is just a few blinks away from today. My goal...is to make the most of the number of those blinks remaining and to never take anything any longer for granted.
