Robert's Story
After Overton I immediately went to Memphis State summer school to take both semesters of Freshman English. Then in the fall started an intensive undergraduate program of studies to attain my Associate Degree so that I could attend Baptist Hospital School of Medical Technology.
I thought that I wanted to become an MD but after 8 years of laboratory science and 2 years as a physician's assistant on a thoracic surgery team, I became bored with it and wanted to work with my hands. I began a small remodeling and painting company and then joined a group of construction companies traveling all over the US.

back to college and obtained a degree in project management with a minor in languages (Russian/Arabic). From there I was hired by a Department of Defense contractor and was sent to Iraq, Afghanistan, Central Africa and other Eastern European countries. I worked with the Department of State, NATO and served in many different embassies around the world.
You might say that I thrived on living in dangerous places but it became some of the most interesting and rewarding work I'd ever done.
Since the Covid outbreak, I've returned to the US and have my own investing business.
I still travel the world but for my own amusement.
