I guess it's about time I write something about myself. What has happened since I left PA in 1975?? Well One thing is sure, I don't have to drive in the snow anymore.
In 1975 right after graduating from UWC in Allentown, I boarded a train in Philadelphia and moved to Palm Beach County, FL to teach in a Christian School in Jupiter. I took a full summer on a missions trip to New Orleans. I returned to Jupiter and taught there until 1983, with a short term mission trip to Panama in Central America for the school year 83-84 where I taught missionaries' children ...Expand for more
in a New Tribes Mission school. When I returned to the US, I worked in a bank word processing center for a year and then taught 2 more years at the same Christian School. In 1987 I returned to the bank's marketing department for 8 1/2 years.
When my position at the bank was eliminated I worked various temp jobs in offices, finally getting a job in new accounts with a uniform rental company and was there for more than 6 1/2 years.
At the present time my job is as a church secretary in a United Methodist Church. I still attend a Baptist church in Tequesta, FL where I have been a member for more than 30 years. They are my family!!! There I am active in choir. I also head up the Praise Banner ministry there where I have made many banners, usually 6 ft x 9 ft in size. God has used my hands to glorify Him in this and other ways. Those of you who knew me at UWC should remember me making choir outfits, quartet outfits and so on.
As yet, He has not sent me a husband, but I'm not dead yet, so who knows???
I have 10 nieces and nephews, with about 25 or so great nieces and nephews. My joy is my little JJ (Johnathan Ray) who lives in Panama City, FL with his mom & dad where daddy is in the US Air Force. I will miss him greatly when he and mommy move back to PA with baby brother, Brody. It takes more than a few hours to get there so won't see him as often as I can now.".
