Sharon's Story

I thought I married an Egyptian man here in the States and after we moved to Egypt he told me he never divorced the other wife. He thought it was ok because Muslim men can have up to 4 wives but since we were married here our marrige was not legal. He is a bigamist. I tried to stick it out for a while here but finally...Expand for more
left him. He married me because I was different and then tried to make me Egyptian. I left him and lived on my own there and he died a year later. Here I am considered not married and in Egypt I am considered a widow. Strange turnes our lives take. Now I live in Florida where I know no one. Starting all over again.
