Sharon's Story
I moved to San Diego in 1981, at the age of 19. I was on my own for the first time of my life. I was working two jobs, when I landed an extraordinary job at General Dynamics. It was exciting working for the then largest military contractor. I made really good friends out there and really enjoyed the weather. However, I started missing my family and decided to return home in 1985.
I became employed by AIL - Eaton Corp. That is where I met Tom in 1986. Two years later, we married.
We decided that LI was not for us. We wanted the sunshine and palm trees. So we both found employment for a sub contractor with Grumman Corp. in Melbour...Expand for more
ne, Florida, in 1991.
In 1992, we had our first child. A beautiful baby girl. We felt truly blessed. Life was perfect.
I went back to school to become a Medical Transcriptionist. After graduating, I started my own home transcription service and worked for a local hospital remotely from my home.
We then decided in 1999, it was time for another. In 2000, my husband became a direct empolyee for Northrup-Grumman and we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy.
So now we have a 16-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. They are both in karate, along with my hubby.
We are involved in our church and feel very blessed by God.
