Sharron's Story
Life
Hi all! Many of you may remember me as Ivy Spann. I attended RRHS from 1981 or 82 to 84, however I did not graduate as my family moved. When we left Puerto Rico, we went to LeJeune and I graduated from there. I completed H.S., went to college for a year (84-85), traveled for a while, worked for the Charlotte Meck School Board in Charlotte, N.C. and then joined the Army (1991-95). My MOS was Military Police, and I really enjoyed my tour. Once out, I went to California, again worked for the school system in Special Education, and finally last semester (Fall 99) I moved to Florida.
May 2005
Hi, Everyone. Thought I'd update you all on what I am doing. I am living still in Tampa, FL. Since I last submitted my bio, I have attained my degree from the University of South Florida, BA Africana Studies.
I am finalizing my son's adoption. His name is Uthman and he is so handsome! He's fourteen months today, the 23rd. He's walking now, so he is everywhere! Can't keep up with him. I am currently working on my short story anthology, my first book of poetry and revising a blog turned into book project.
Anyhow, that is all there is about me for now. I hope you all are well and taking care of yourselves.
Peace,
Ivy S.

at day coming up for me. I was hired as a Probation/Parole Specialist. I'm so excited about the position and I am going to do my best at it. I will still be working with kids, but juveniles who need direction. I'll keep you all abreast of what the job is like in my website offered by classmates.com. Hope everyone is well!
School
The biggest crush I had was on Pedro Laureano. Just like my son, he had curly air, was tall, dark and handsome and had such a great smile. I also liked Mike McGinnis. Even though, I was crazy about a Marine named Andre Jackson. He had curly hair and green eyes and always made me feel special.
Ms. Alcaide was my most favorite teacher. I loved her dearly; she was soft-spoken, caring, and concerned about all her students.
One of the best memories of school I had was the close relationship I had with Florence Fourquet and Elaine Luelamaga. I miss them both and wish them well.
The saddest moment was the death of Kim. I can't remember her last name, but she was killed in a car accident. The day after the crash, we came to school and learned of her death and it was so devestating. Not many were nice to her, but the impact was great. I remember grieving and wondering why God took her and not me. Coffin was her last name, now that I remember. Kim Coffin. I pray that she has found a seat next to God.
