Life After I kissed a few frogs, I finally found my prince! In the summer of 2001 while living in North Carolina, a friend of mine suggested that I register with Classmates.com to reconnect with old high school friends from Texas. I thought that would be a great idea since it had been 19 years since I left Texas. After I joined classmates.com, I began reading the member list from my graduating class. I came across one name in particular of someone I was very fond of and whom I had always had a crush on in high school. His name was Steve Mays. As I read over his bio again and again, I saw that he was divorced with two children, and lived in Northern Virginia which was only 5 to 6 hours away from where I lived in North Carolina. I could not believe he lived so close to me. I wondered why God would put us so close together when I knew I would always be married to my husband. I started to send him an email, but decided I would wait a while because I knew once Steve saw my name on Classmates, he would email me. Four days later, he did just that. Steve and I rekindled our friendship though the Internet and chatted about each other's lives. Steve would talk about his girlfriends, work, and children. I would chat about my family, my husband and two sons. The Internet chats and emails continued for almost two years. We had gotten to know each other again pretty well. In early September of 2002, after many years of growing apart and finding out of my husbands infidelity, my husband and I separated.
