Sheila's Story
Life
Well, it's been many, many years & my life is & has been so full that I hardly know where to begin. I know that many of my classmates (& teachers) expected me to continue on to college & perhaps onward to great things; but, for some reason which I could never explain, I just couln't make up my mind which direction that would be! It all seems so 'cut & dried' when we are still in school & our counselor(s)encourage us to follow 'The Impossible Dream', but sometimes that dream takes us in unexpected directions. For the next seven yrs. after graduation, I put college 'on hold' and went to work instead, pursuing a variety of employment opportunities, all of which were in my home state of Ohio. adjust to my new environment. For anyone who is not familiar with Oceanside, it is approx. 32 mi. N. of San Diego & is adjacent to the very important (at the time)Marine Corps base, Camp Pendleton. This factor had a definite impact on my future as I met & subsequently married a very captivating Marine Staff Sgt. named Jim Jamieson! We have been happily married for almost 31 yrs.& have two wonderful 'older kids',ha. Our daughter,April, is 27+ & James is 25+. I'm sure that I'm being typically 'long-winded'so I'll sum up by saying that we now reside in Moore, OK. which is just s.w. of Oklahoma City & have been here for approx. 19 yrs. There is so much more to say, but I will save it for any & all questions you may want to ask. Looking forward to hearing from you.--Sheila
