Sheila's Story
Life
After HS graduation, went to University of Illinois at CU. Graduated with degree in Applied Life Studies in 1990. Worked for 14 years in the mental health field, both inpatient and outpatient. Got married in 1993 to Tony Finan. Met as neighbors in an apartment complex in Decatur, IL. He was a HS teacher and basketball coach, so our first date was a basketball game. After completing his Master's in Education Administration in 2003, he got a job with the Round Lake Area Schools as Assistant Principal with the Middle School, which moved us up to Round Lake Beach from Harristown, IL. We now live about 5 minutes from my Mom, instead of 4 hours away. My Dad died in 2003 after a 5 year cancer battle.

1996, we had our first child, a boy, AJ. He is currently 10 and in 5th grade. In 1998, we had our first girl, McKensie. She is 8 and in 3rd grade. Catherine rounded out our family in 2002. She is 4 and goes to preschool 3 days per week.
I have been given the opportunity to stay home with Catherine since we've moved up to Round Lake Beach. It is nice to see my kids more often (as opposed to working away from home), but I do miss my other job, sometimes.
We also have a part Lab named Dora, yes for "Dora the Explorer". McKensie named her 2 years ago and it stuck.
We keep busy with Tony working mostly 6 days per week, the kids with school and afterschool activities, and seeing family as much as we can.
