Sheila's Story
Didnt want to go to Dalhousie Med after gr 13 so did nothing jobs for two years (dumb) then got permanently tangled up with the military. Drove big trucks (fun) and played happy campers in nasty green tents in the snow then got smarter and moved into training and logistics.
Been to all the provinces, 39 states, 17 countries in Europe and Asia. Great Oz tour next then maybe Africa if I am lucky.
Kept skiing. Rode motocross. Tried sky diving but could not work out why I should jump out of a perfectly fliable aircraft. <LOL> Got tired of playing right field watching the dandelions grow. Decided canoing was only g...Expand for more
oing to work for me if it was downstream but water skiing was OK. Learned to sail living in Bermuda, loved it! and still dream of 360*. Qualified as a lifeguard (that much pool time turns blond hair green!!)
Went north as an engineer (aircraft) got a fly rod and waders (and a bug net for those bomber size black flies!)
Now here I am in beautiful Marlborough NZ ... sun country ... wine country
Became a single parent (2) in 04. Youngest daughter now 1st yr Uni doing psych/crim. The other one has 2 kiddies of her own.
Time wasters: playing for two brass bands and sometimes for the pipe band.
Lessons: it's all good
