Sheila's Story
Hi Everyone,
I started an African American awareness group in school in 1967 and also sang in the glee club..
I graduated in 69" and attended CSU on scholarship. I left school after two years to marry a Vietnam vet. We became homeowners , welcomed our daughter after two years and a son eight years later.
Securing a LPN license, I was employed at various medical facilities in the city.
I received a FCC license in the 80ties and did local TV and radio. .
I completed a BSW/LSW and a MPA, both from CSU. My MPA has a specialization Healthcare A...Expand for more
dministration. AlIowing me to serve on CSU's MPA Advisory committee.
I completed my grad degree.during an administrative position with the city of Bedford Hts.
Stephanie Tubbs-Jones's 11th Congressional District Healthcare Task Force then welcomed me as a representative
I was an investigative social worker for ten years at Cuyahoga County's Child Abuse & Neglect department. .I' ve retired from there and as a nurse.
I stillmaintain my LSW license..
